Beamline 7.0 is comprised of a variety of endstations dedicated to high resolution spectroscopy for materials research.

High resolution means:

photon energy --> resolving power of about 8000, useful for all experiments

electron energy --> about 30-50 meV resolution in XPD, SPEM, and SPIN endstations

spatial resolution --> about .05 to .1 microns in SPEM and STXM endstations

angle resolution --> +/- 0.15 and 0.5 degrees in XPD and SPIN endstations, resp.
